A stunning view of Mount Rainier and Lake Washington brought our clients to this home, though its contemporary design was not their style. The proportions of the home are similar to those on Lake Como, which provided the impetus to the stone exterior design and auto court. The home was remodeled significantly, adding traditional detailing to the interior to meld with the client's significant collection of French antiques. Large traditional furniture was added to the antique collection to complement the scale of the home. Walls are plaster with an old-world glaze, and stone floors are antiqued to add to the historical European feel of this home.
